Cold drawn black phosphated precision tube to DIN 2391 and EN 10305. The phosphate layer improves paint and oil adhesion and gives short term rust protection, which is why it is widely used for painted automotive parts such as shock absorber bodies and steering columns. Bore tolerances stay tight after phosphating.
