This is the record of one order: cold-drawn seamless tube to GOST 8734-75 in steel 20, six-metre lengths, packed and loaded into two containers for a customer in Russia in October 2026. The photographs are from our own packing line and loading bay.
What went into the containers
| Outside diameter | Wall | Length |
|---|---|---|
| 10 mm | 1.0 mm | 6000 mm |
| 12 mm | 1.5 mm | 6000 mm |
| 14 mm | 2.0 mm | 6000 mm |
| 16 mm | 2.0 mm | 6000 mm |
| 22 mm | 3.0 mm | 6000 mm |
Other outside diameters up to 32 mm, etc., were in the same order; the packing list carries the full size breakdown. All positions were cold drawn, heat treated and pickled, with deburred ends.
Standard and steel grade
The order was produced to GOST 8734-75, the Russian standard for cold-deformed seamless steel tube, in steel 20 (GOST 1050; the Chinese equivalent is 20# to GB/T 699). Steel 20 is the usual choice for cold-drawn tube that will be bent, flared or machined after delivery: it welds cleanly, keeps enough ductility after annealing, and does not need alloying for normal service.
Tolerances and delivery condition were agreed on the purchase order. Where a drawing gives no tolerance class, we quote to the normal class of the standard and say so in the offer, so there is no argument at reception.
Packing

- Bundles wrapped in plastic film with an outer woven sheet
- Both ends protected, so the bore and the end face arrive undamaged
- Steel strapping on every bundle, timber dunnage between layers
- Part of the load in a wooden crate, blocked and strapped to the container floor

Small diameters are the ones that go missing in transit: a 10 × 1 mm bundle weighs little enough to shift if it is only strapped and not blocked. That is why the mixed sizes went into a crate rather than loose bundles.
Marking
Each bundle carries a label with the size and steel grade, matching the packing list. If your warehouse needs its own label layout — barcode, article number, your logo — send the template with the order and we print to it.
