ERW steel tube is welded from strip by electric resistance welding, then cold drawn (EN 10305-2 / DIN 2393) or cold sized (EN 10305-3) to a tight tolerance. It is the economical alternative to seamless for precision applications, and small-OD sizes are available in coil.
