Welded Precision Steel Tube Coil

Welded precision steel tube supplied as a continuous coil for small outside diameters with a thin wall. The tube is welded from strip, then cold drawn (EN 10305-2 / DIN 2393) or cold sized (EN 10305-3) to a tight tolerance and wound into a coil. Delivered in coils, it feeds uncoiling, straightening and cutting machines directly, so a production line runs with fewer butt joins and less handling.

Price: quoted per specification. Steel prices follow the raw-material market, so each price is confirmed at the time of order.

Specifications

  • Construction: welded, then cold drawn or welded cold sized
  • Grades: E195 / E235C / E355, St37.4 / St52.4, 1010 / 1020; stainless 304 / 304L, 316 / 316L
  • Coil size range: OD 4–30 mm, wall 0.5–2.5 mm (coil delivery only for thin-wall small OD)
  • Coil geometry (typical): outer diameter approx 1000 mm, inner hole approx 600 mm, coil height approx 230–250 mm, weight approx 200 kg per coil
  • Surface: bright, oiled, copper coated, or zinc plated
  • Documents: mill test certificate, EN 10204 3.1

What fits in a coil

OD × wall Delivery form
≤ 16 × ≤ 1.5 mm coil (long runs, fewer joins)
16–30 × ≤ 2.5 mm coil or cut lengths
> 30 mm OD straight lengths (standard)

Coil delivery vs straight lengths

  • Fewer butt joins in the finished part
  • Feeds straightening and cutting lines directly
  • Less handling and lower freight cost per metre
  • Smaller coil weight can be adjusted to your decoiler
Copper coated welded steel tube in coil
Copper coated welded steel tube coil for brake and fuel lines

Typical applications

  • Brake and fuel lines (copper coated)
  • Shock absorber reservoir tube
  • Fuel injection and fluid lines
  • Furniture and frame tube
  • Cable conduits and spacer tube

Copper coated option

For brake and fuel lines we supply the welded tube with a copper coating, which improves flaring and corrosion behaviour in service. The coating is applied before coiling so the finished coil is ready for the line.

Quality and packing

Each coil is tested for chemical composition, dimensions, surface and weld integrity. Coils are strapped, wrapped against moisture and packed seaworthy; cut lengths are bundled with end protection.
